First time dining at RD RNNR a few days ago on the first night of our vacation. When we arrived, we were asked if we had reservations, and even though we did not, we were promptly seated. I think we got there at the right time because the restaurant was not crowded at all, but within a few minutes there were people at almost every table. The ambiance was very casual, and although we were seated next to a very loud party, we did not feel like we could not have a conversation at our own table. We ordered the calamari appetizer for our table, and I ordered the cucumber margarita. It was absolutely delicious! One of the best margaritas I've had in a while, light and refreshing! For my entree I had the Chicken Piccata which came with mashed potatoes and grilled veggies. Delicious! The chicken was well cooked and flavorful, mashed potatoes were perfect with each bite of chicken and sauce, and the veggies were the best part! Everyone enjoyed their meal, but felt like the portions could have been a bit bigger. I thought the portion size was perfect because I was full, but not uncomfortably full. Our server, Ximena, was very friendly and helpful with her recommendations, but she was so busy that it was hard to track her down. Overall, we all enjoyed our dining experience here and will definitely be adding this to our list of new favorites!

What makes a restaurant great? Consistency. There's nothing better than falling in love with a dish and always getting what you expect. Some places unfortunately, do not train staff to be consistent but that is never a problem at RD RNNR. The ahi tuna nachos are always on point. Packed with flavor. What makes a restaurant even better? The personalized service. Mya shines with her brilliant and genuine kindness. Always charismatic, she's as authentic as it gets. Margarita was on point! The bus boy was attentive to our water levels and kept the table tidy. We love the RD RNNR environment. Will be back soon.

Amazing Ambiance, Food and great prices. Really appreciate a restaurant that really cares about customers and food quality. Our server Ximena was wonderful in recommending different options on the menu. We also appreciate the servers refilling our waters and making sure everything was great! Thank you!

Not a bad spot for lunch or dinner and possibly a drink. Your options in downtown La Quinta are quite limited. Roadrunner (or RD RNNR, God, get over yourselves, it's not an EDM act at Coachella), they get the job done and there is great service here, if not the best prices. The menu is pretty uninspiring, standard hipster, gastro-pub fare. Wait, burgers, Brussels sprouts, sweet potato fries and aioli? Wow, didn't see that coming. For all the cynicism I was feeling, when the burger came out, it was actually really good! It was cooked to perfection with a little pink inside and these big ole steak fries rather than the little skinny ones that seem frozen. I added a fried egg as an option and it was all pretty reasonable, all things considered. My friend got the fried chicken sandwich and said it was ok. It could have had some heat added to it to make it a pseudo-Nashville Hot sandwich, but missed the opportunity. I would recommend this place. One BIG NOTE though. The noise inside the restaurant was OUTRAGEOUS! There were little kids running all over the place like Chuck E Cheese's and the parents were not doing a damn thing. It seems like that is what is allowed or tolerated here if you come to drink, you are allowed to let your kids run wild. We actually had to move outside to finish our meal, but once we did, all was right with the world again. But dang! We couldn't hear ourselves think inside. I can deal with loud, but not screaming. Sorry.
